CCPA Group expands Latin American footprint with Nutrisur acquisition

By bringing Nutrisur under its umbrella, CCPA gains a strong foothold in Uruguay’s feed industry while offering Nutrisur access to world-class research and innovation resources from both the CCPA and Nutec groups.

URUGUAY – French animal nutrition specialist CCPA Group has acquired Nutrisur, a leading Uruguayan premix company, in a strategic move to solidify its presence in Latin America and expand its global reach.

The acquisition, announced on April 14, 2025, was made through Euro-Nutec Premix, a joint venture established in 1996 between CCPA Group of France and Nutec Group of Mexico.

Nutrisur, based in Canelones in southern Uruguay, has over two decades of experience in the animal nutrition industry and is widely respected for its professionalism, product quality, and innovative approach to meeting farmers’ needs.

This acquisition represents a key step in our growth strategy in Latin America,” said Mickael Marcerou, chairman of Euro-Nutec’s board of directors.

We are convinced that Nutrisur’s expertise, combined with our know-how, will allow us to accelerate our development and offer increasingly innovative products and services that improve farmers’ profitability, sustainability and efficiency in Uruguay and the Southern Cone.”

The deal marks another milestone in CCPA Group’s global expansion efforts, particularly in high-potential markets.

By bringing Nutrisur under its umbrella, CCPA gains a strong foothold in Uruguay’s feed industry while offering Nutrisur access to world-class research and innovation resources from both the CCPA and Nutec groups.

Nutrisur has built a solid reputation as a trusted partner for local farmers, delivering premix solutions tailored to animal nutrition challenges. The integration with CCPA is expected to boost the company’s capacity to innovate and meet evolving demands in the region.

In line with our strategic plan Become, we continue the internationalisation of CCPA,” said François Pellet, CEO of CCPA Group.

This acquisition, through our joint venture with the Nutec Group, also demonstrates our ability to build long-term partnerships. CCPA will continue to be alert to opportunities for external growth and partnerships; we are convinced that our expertise (nutrition, phyto-ingredients, digital) is essential to meet competitiveness and sustainability challenges in livestock farming on all continents.

CCPA strengthens its Latin American footprint through this acquisition and reiterates its commitment to delivering science-backed, sustainable solutions for global livestock production.

While financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, the companies emphasised that the deal reflects a shared vision to support regional farmers with advanced, reliable animal nutrition solutions in a fast-changing industry.

With Uruguay as its entry point, CCPA aims to tap into the broader Southern Cone region, leveraging Nutrisur’s local market knowledge and its established distribution networks.

As animal nutrition increasingly intersects with sustainability and innovation, this acquisition signals CCPA’s continued pursuit of strategic alliances and international growth to remain at the forefront of the industry.
