Royal Agrifirm strengthens position in organic bulk feed market with new partnership

The partnership is with Germany-based Naturmühle Vechteland, known for its dedication to sustainability and excellence in organic feed production.

GERMANY – Royal Agrifirm Group, a leading European agribusiness, has significantly enhanced its organic bulk feed sector position through a strategic partnership.

Effective March 31, Agrifirm’s organic feed will be produced in collaboration with Naturmühle Vechteland, a German company specialising in high-quality organic animal feeds.

Agrifirm, a Dutch agricultural cooperative founded in 1892 and headquartered in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, operates globally, offering solutions in animal nutrition, crop cultivation, and agricultural innovation.

The company is committed to sustainable farming practices and providing high-quality products and advisory services to farmers worldwide.

On the other hand, Naturmühle Vechteland, based in Emlichheim, Lower Saxony, Germany, is known for its dedication to sustainability and excellence in organic feed production.

Established in 2015, the company produces organic compound feed for all farm animals, with approximately 90% of its products staying within the Grafschaft Bentheim/Emsland region and the remaining 10% exported to the Netherlands.

As a pure production company, Naturmühle Vechteland relies on its shareholders for distribution and transport.

Ensuring quality and compliance

The partnership allows Agrifirm to guarantee the highest quality standards while strengthening its sustainability efforts.

Naturmühle Vechteland is GMP+ certified and holds multiple accreditations, including approval under the EU Organic Regulation 2018/848.

The company undergoes frequent inspections, both scheduled and unannounced, to maintain compliance with strict safety and quality regulations. Additionally, it holds GMP+ FSA TS 2.1 certification for “Dioxin Monitoring in Poultry Feed.”

Naturmühle Vechteland is the production arm of Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte, a trusted partner that sources local raw materials to ensure consistent quality.

By integrating Agrifirm’s organic grains into its organic bulk feed, the company can deliver a more sustainable and superior product to farmers in the region and beyond.

Additionally, as a major player in the European agricultural sector, Royal Agrifirm Group operates across multiple feed sectors and is actively involved in seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides.

Its subsidiaries—including Agrifirm Feed, Agrifirm Belgium, Agrifirm Deutschland, Agrifirm Magyarorszag, Agrifirm Polska, Oldambt, and Nuscience—serve livestock and specialty pet feed markets across various countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and China.

The new partnership with Naturmühle Vechteland will likely further strengthen Agrifirm’s capabilities in the organic feed market, ensuring a more localised, sustainable, and efficient supply chain for European farmers.
