Fam Stumabo enhances meat, pet food processing with Yuran Hytec 300 EC

The machine’s 300 mm-wide conveyor belt accommodates various product sizes, making it ideal for applications in pet food processing, where consistency and efficiency are critical.

UK – Fam Stumabo has introduced an upgraded version of its Yuran Hytec 300 cutting machine, which, with the addition of a new exit conveyor system, enhances its capabilities for processing meat, poultry, alternative proteins, and pet food.

The Yuran Hytec 300 EC will be showcased at the IFFA meat and alternative protein technology trade show in Frankfurt, Germany, this May.

It builds on the previous model’s success and introduces key improvements that streamline the cutting and processing of various food products.

Integrating the exit conveyor system significantly boosts efficiency, particularly in batch processing, by allowing products to be seamlessly discharged into storage bins or other conveying systems without halting operations.

This enhancement ensures continuous production flow, eliminating downtime when switching totes during batch feeding.

Designed for precision and versatility, the Yuran Hytec 300 EC utilises a belt-fed system to guide products toward the feed roll, ensuring smooth and reliable transfer into the circular knives for cutting.

With dual independent motors, the machine enables precise control over cut size and shape without requiring additional cutting tools, making it a highly adaptable solution for diverse processing needs.

The machine’s 300 mm-wide conveyor belt accommodates various product sizes, making it well-suited for applications in pet food processing and alternative proteins, where consistency and efficiency are critical.

Bolstering efficiency and ease of maintenance

Removable splined shafts on the cutting spindles facilitate quick changeovers, enabling fast adjustments between different cut sizes and minimising production downtime.

Engineered with hygiene and ease of maintenance in mind, the Yuran Hytec 300 EC simplifies cleaning procedures and ensures compliance with industry sanitation standards.

Thomas Bogaerts, project engineer at Fam Stumabo, emphasised the machine’s versatility, noting its ability to handle fresh, crust-frozen, tempered frozen, and hot-cooked meat and poultry equally.

He also highlighted its effectiveness in producing shredded meats with a “pulled look,” making it ideal for barbecue meats, pizza toppings, salads, sandwiches, and snack products.

Additionally, its precision cutting capabilities extend to pet food production, offering manufacturers a high-performance solution for processing a variety of protein-based ingredients.

The integrated exit conveyor system further enhances efficiency by minimising product spillage and ensuring a smooth, controlled flow of cut products.

This design innovation maintains product quality and consistency, especially for delicate or high-value items in the pet food and alternative protein sectors.
