Middle East Poultry Expo 2025 to showcase industry innovations in Riyadh

The 2024 edition was a resounding success, attracting 320 exhibitors from 40 countries and 11,130 visitors from 54 nations.

SAUDI ARABIA – The Middle East Poultry Expo, the region’s largest trade event dedicated to the poultry industry, will return for its fourth edition from April 14 to 16, 2025, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. 

The highly anticipated event will bring together industry leaders, investors, and suppliers to foster business growth and innovation in the poultry sector.

Organised under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the expo serves as a strategic platform to connect global poultry companies with local investors. 

The event aims to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s poultry industry, the largest in the Middle East and Africa and ranks as the world’s third-largest consumer of poultry products. The 2024 edition was a resounding success, attracting 320 exhibitors from 40 countries and 11,130 visitors from 54 nations.

This year’s exhibition will span 15,000 square meters and run concurrently with the Middle East Feed & Mills Expo and the Middle East Animal Health & Nutrition Expo. 

These complementary events will focus on cutting-edge advancements in grain milling, feed production, animal nutrition, and veterinary health, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to food security and agricultural sustainability.

The expo will feature key industry players, including Big Dutchman AG, ARASCO (ENTAJ Poultry), ALMARAI Co. (ALYOUM Poultry), FAMSUN Group Co., Ltd., AlWadi Poultry Farms Ltd., Boehringer Ingelheim, and Schneider Electric. 

These exhibitors, among others, will showcase innovations in poultry farming, feed production, breeding equipment, processing technologies, and animal health solutions.

The Middle East Poultry Expo is expected to attract more than 10,000 professionals, including poultry farmers, feed producers, veterinary specialists, and agribusiness investors. 

Over three days, attendees will explore business opportunities, exchange insights, and discuss the latest industry trends and technological advancements. The event’s “Feed to Food” concept will emphasise the link between animal feed, health, and meat quality.

Government-backed investment and growth

Saudi Arabia’s government has been instrumental in fostering the expansion of the poultry industry through the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. 

The Kingdom has committed SAR 17 billion (US$5 billion) in investments to elevate poultry production, aiming to achieve 80% self-sufficiency in poultry meat by 2025. This initiative follows a notable rise in self-sufficiency from 45% in 2016 to 68% in 2022. 

The government is also offering up to 70% financing for technology-driven projects and facilitating access to government lands to boost local poultry production.

Saudi Arabia’s agriculture sector, valued at US$29.72 billion, continues to grow at an unprecedented pace. The country has seen significant expansions in various sub-sectors, including aquaculture, organic farming, honey production, and food processing. 

Over the past five years, aquaculture production surged by 183%, broiler chicken production met over 60% of domestic demand, and greenhouse production increased by 58% to 407,000 tons.
