Major product launches at Global Pet Expo 2025 reflect industry growth

Notable exhibitors included Wellness Pet Company and Carnivore Meat Company, both introducing major new products.

USA – The Global Pet Expo 2025, held from March 26 to 28, highlighted innovation in pet food as leading companies unveiled cutting-edge products to meet the evolving needs of 94 million U.S. pet-owning households.

Among the standout exhibitors were Wellness Pet Company and Carnivore Meat Company, which introduced significant new offerings.

Wellness Pet Company expands nutritional offerings

Wellness Pet Company took center stage at the expo, debuting various new pet food products to enhance pet health and well-being. The company unveiled new dry dog foods, dental treats, and wet cat foods, reinforcing its mission to provide high-quality nutrition while addressing specific dietary concerns.

According to research cited by Wellness, skin and gastrointestinal issues are leading causes of veterinary visits for dogs.

To tackle these concerns, the company launched Wellness® CORE+ Sensitive Skin & Stomach and Wellness® Complete Health® Sensitive Skin & Stomach, formulated with salmon, dietary fiber, and a blend of pre-, pro-, and postbiotics to promote digestive health. Including Omega 3 and 6 from salmon oil further supports skin and coat vitality.

Additionally, Wellness expanded its WHIMZEES dental treat line with WHIMZEES Freshzees, a soft dental treat for older dogs and soft-chewing dogs. This new offering helps freshen breath and improve oral health by reducing plaque and tartar buildup.

For feline nutrition, the company introduced Wellness Appetizing Entrées in 2.8-oz pouches in shredded and flaked formats to support hydration. It also expanded its Wellness® Complete Health® Tasty Textures Variety Pack with new fish-based recipes in gravy and minced formats.

Our latest innovations focus on targeted nutrition that supports skin, stomach, and overall well-being,” said Dr. Danielle Bernal, global veterinarian with Wellness Pet Company. “From sensitive skin and stomach formulas to hydrating wet cat food options, we continue to provide solutions tailored to pets’ unique needs.

Carnivore Meat Company introduces Soft Nibs for raw feeding

Carnivore Meat Company and its flagship brand, Vital Essentials, also made headlines with the launch of Soft Nibs, a new freeze-dried raw pet food innovation.

Designed with a softer texture, Soft Nibs are ideal for pets with sensitive teeth and offer an easy way for pet owners to integrate raw nutrition into their pets’ diets.

Available in ten varieties—five for dogs and five for cats—the product line includes Vital Essentials’ first-ever fish-based blends, such as beef and salmon, lamb and whitefish, and a pork option.

Soft Nibs are a perfect complement to our Crunchy Nibs, which have been a fan favorite with over 13,000 five-star reviews,” said Heather Govea, CEO of Carnivore Meat Company. “Now, pet owners can use both crunchy and soft raw feeding solutions, making it easier to incorporate more protein into their pets’ diets.

Vital Essentials introduced its Nutrition Calculator at the expo to further support pet owners. This online tool lets pet parents answer eight questions about their pets’ diets and health goals, generating personalised recommendations for raw protein integration.

Visitors to the Vital Essentials booth experienced an immersive, butcher shop-inspired display that emphasised the brand’s dedication to “butcher-cut protein.”

Interactive demonstrations and a hands-on bowl-building station further engaged attendees, highlighting practical ways to incorporate raw feeding into daily routines.
