NORTH AMERICA – Bühler, a global leader in food processing and optical sorting technologies, in partnership with West-Link, a renowned equipment supplier, has officially opened a cutting-edge Application and Training Center in Stockton, California.
This new facility is designed to support food processors and growers in the western United States by providing access to the latest optical sorting technologies, testing capabilities, and specialized training.
The center, strategically located in California’s Central Valley, is equipped with advanced optical sorting equipment, enabling food processors to test and analyze their products using Bühler’s state-of-the-art Sortex portfolio.
In addition to offering testing and demonstration services, the facility also functions as a refurbishment lab and parts warehouse for Bühler’s optical sorters.
This comprehensive support system is unparalleled in the region, according to Andrew Parlour, Vice President of Sales for Bühler in North America.
“This Application Center provides a level of support and service unseen in this region. Bühler is committed to the processors and growers in the western US, and our partnership with West-Link, a highly reputable equipment supplier, really strengthens that commitment,” Parlour said.
According to him, the center is the perfect resource for those looking to maximize the efficiencies of their food production operations and take them to the next level.
Brian Sears, President and Owner of West-Link, emphasized the center’s role as a technology-forward platform.
“This new location provides growers and processors with the opportunity to test their products on the latest optical sorting equipment, see demonstrations of new technologies, and receive specialized training on the entire Bühler Sortex portfolio,” Sears said.
The new Application and Training Center replaces Bühler’s previous Stockton location and significantly expands its capabilities.
For clients unable to visit the center, West-Link offers mobile testing and demonstrations, ensuring flexible support tailored to diverse operational requirements.
An open house event is scheduled for March 13, 2025, inviting industry stakeholders to explore the center’s offerings and witness firsthand the advancements in optical sorting technology.
This development aligns with Bühler’s broader strategy to enhance its optical sorting services across North America.
In recent years, the company has expanded its network of application centers, including new facilities in North Carolina, Minnesota, and Saskatchewan, Canada.
These centers serve as hubs for testing, training, and collaboration, reinforcing Bühler’s commitment to innovation and customer support in the food processing industry.
