GHANA – Koudijs Ghana, a leading provider of high-quality animal nutrition solutions, has officially rebranded as De Heus Ghana, adopting the name of its parent company.
According to the company’s website, while its name has changed, its unwavering commitment to premium quality products and services remains the same.
This rebranding marks a new era for the company, reinforcing its dedication to delivering top-tier animal nutrition solutions to farmers and feed millers across Ghana.
Koudijs, a De Heus Animal Nutrition division, has been a key player in the global animal feed industry for decades.
Originally founded in 1920 in the Netherlands, Koudijs expanded beyond Europe in the 1960s, exporting feed concentrates to Africa and the Middle East.
After joining De Heus in 1998, the company grew even further, supplying premixes, concentrates, and feed specialities to markets across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
This rebranding to De Heus Ghana aligns the company more closely with its parent brand, strengthening its presence in the animal nutrition industry.
De Heus Ghana remains a trusted partner for feed millers, integrators, dealers, and large farms. With its experienced team and extensive knowledge of both animal nutrition and local farming conditions, the company remains committed to helping its customers optimise feeding performance and productivity.
The name change reflects the company’s vision of innovation and expansion while ensuring that its customers receive the same high-quality products and expert support they have come to rely on.
In recent years, De Heus has invested significantly in Ghana’s livestock sector. In 2017, the company made a strategic move by establishing a local feed production facility, which became fully operational in 2020. This investment was driven by the increasing demand for high-quality, locally produced feed.
Last year, the company introduced the Koudijs Pig Concentrate 30% at a launch event in Kumasi, further expanding its range of products tailored to the needs of Ghanaian farmers.
The rebranding comes at a time when Ghana’s pork industry is experiencing significant growth, with shifting consumer preferences toward high-quality white meat products.
Farmers increasingly recognise the profitability and efficiency of pig farming, with pigs reaching market weight in just six to seven months.
De Heus Ghana remains committed to providing innovative solutions to support this growth, ensuring that farmers can access the best feed options to enhance productivity and sustainability in the livestock sector.
