SOTUPAP expands horizons with Tunisia’s first premium veterinary pet food line

TUNISIA – SOTUPAP, a trailblazer in Tunisia’s aquafeed production, has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its Mascott Veterinary Premium Petfood—the country’s first-ever premium veterinary pet food line for dogs and cats.

This innovative product line, unveiled earlier this year, signifies a leap forward for the local and regional pet food industry, aligning with global quality and nutrition standards.

Operating from the Technopole Sahline Industrial Zone in Monastir, SOTUPAP has been a trusted name in aquafeed since 2013, supplying 1,000 tons of fish feed monthly.

With the new Mascott range, the company is leveraging its nutritional science and quality control expertise to cater to the growing pet care market.

The Mascott Veterinary Premium Petfood production line boasts an annual capacity of 20,000 tons, and international exports are planned for 2025.

Developed in collaboration with international animal nutritionists, the formulations are meticulously crafted to meet pets’ specific dietary needs, ensuring a blend of digestibility, palatability, and health benefits.

Key features of the Mascott range include high-quality proteins derived from marine sources, Omega 3 and Omega 6 for bone health and muscle development and a mix of organic minerals to bolster immune defenses.

Non-GMO ingredients, alongside stringent production controls, highlight the brand’s commitment to pet well-being.

Traceability is at the heart of our operations,” SOTUPAP’s Animal Nutritionist Haifa Achek noted. “From raw material sourcing to final distribution, we ensure uncompromised safety and quality at every step. Every ingredient is rigorously tested, and only the best make it into our products.”

The range’s appeal extends beyond its nutritional value. With a strong focus on flavor, Mascott aims to cater to the unique palates of dogs and cats, ensuring they enjoy every meal while receiving optimal nutrition.

SOTUPAP’s foray into pet food reflects a broader ambition to enhance the health and lifespan of pets in Tunisia and beyond.

By drawing on years of expertise in fish feed production and introducing innovative practices, the company is poised to make a lasting impact on the veterinary pet food sector.

With plans for export and a dedication to quality, Mascott Veterinary Premium Petfood is set to position Tunisia as a key player in the regional pet food industry.
