Zoomark 2025 to spotlight pet industry supply chain with ‘Factory’

ITALY – The highly anticipated Zoomark 2025 is set to make waves in the global pet industry from May 5th to 7th at BolognaFiere.

With over 1,300 exhibitors and 28,000 attendees expected, this premier B2B event will introduce Factory, a dedicated space showcasing the pet industry’s supply chain from raw materials to packaging and logistics.

Zoomark 2025’s Factory is designed to spotlight groundbreaking innovations across the pet supply chain, offering businesses an unparalleled platform for networking and collaboration.

Exhibition Manager Luisa Bersanetti remarked, “The Factory area will showcase the most innovative aspects of the supply chain, creating new business opportunities for industrial firms.”

Targeting pioneering companies, Factory will feature suppliers of raw materials, semi-finished products, packaging, and logistics services essential to the pet sector.

The pet industry, valued at €7 (US$7.36) billion and experiencing double-digit growth annually, remains resilient and highly innovative.

This dynamic market attracts new businesses, driven by increasing consumer demand for sustainable, nutritious, and high-quality pet products.

A key focus of Factory will be on sustainability. Companies specialising in natural and organic ingredients will showcase innovations to improve pet health and well-being.

Alternative solutions like insect-based proteins and plant-based ingredients will reflect the industry’s shift toward eco-friendly and nutritious options.

Packaging, a critical component in the supply chain, will also take centre stage. Recent research by Nomisma highlights that 46% of Italian pet owners prioritise environmentally friendly packaging. The Factory will feature smart and sustainable packaging solutions.

These include innovations that enhance recyclability, reduce waste, and align with new European regulations promoting packaging reuse.

Beyond product showcases, Factory will serve as a knowledge hub, offering seminars, workshops, and panel discussions. These sessions will address advancements in ingredient development, sustainable practices, and customisation to meet diverse consumer preferences.

The event’s educational agenda will complement Zoomark’s other attractions, such as Pet Vision, a space dedicated to cutting-edge products and emerging market trends, and Aqua Project, focusing on the aquarium and terrarium industries.

Zoomark has consistently proven to be more than a trade show; it is a pivotal meeting point for industry leaders. The 2025 edition promises to uphold this tradition, fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth within the pet sector.
