Cargill rebrands micronutrition solutions to streamline offerings, expand innovation

USA – Cargill Animal Nutrition unveiled a revamped brand portfolio for its micronutrition solutions at EuroTier 2024, marking a strategic shift to simplify customer navigation and showcase a holistic suite of offerings.

The Micronutrition and Health Solutions (MHS) portfolio now aligns under eight focused product brands, catering to specific species and needs, from aquaculture to pet care.

Gilles Houdart, Global Micronutrition & Health Solutions Business Director, and Helene ZivDouki, Senior Vice President of EMEA and Global Salmon, led the announcement.

Houdart described the rebranding as reflecting Cargill’s commitment to addressing pressing industry challenges with innovative, sustainable solutions.

Cargill is the partner of choice for producers seeking holistic solutions. Our new family of brands enhances visibility and ensures customers find the products best suited to their needs,” Houdart said.

The MHS portfolio is now divided into eight specialised brands:

  • Syrena: Focusing on aquaculture, this brand delivers science-based, sustainable solutions for fish and shrimp.
  • Diamond V: Dedicated to ruminants, offering advanced solutions to optimise health and performance.
  • Biostrong: For poultry, providing proven innovations to support digestion and immunity.
  • Cinergy: Targeting swine with solutions tailored to every life stage for improved health and sustainability.
  • TruPet and TruEquine: Covering pets and horses, respectively, with a focus on specialised care.
  • Enzae and Notox: Enzyme solutions and mycotoxin management for all species.

This reorganisation aims to make the portfolio more intuitive, allowing customers to access tailored solutions more efficiently.

Cargill’s focus on innovation is evident in its alignment with sustainability and functional nutrition trends.

For instance, Syrena’s sustainable offerings for aquaculture and Biostrong’s digestion-support solutions for poultry highlight the company’s commitment to health and environmental stewardship.

The rebranding aligns with growing consumer expectations for sustainable practices and high-performing solutions across animal nutrition sectors.

Recognition for pet food innovation

Adding to its momentum, Cargill recently won the Pet Food Innovation Award at the 2024 Fi Europe Innovation Awards for its TruPet postbiotic.

This ultraconcentrated ingredient enhances gut health, immunity, and vitality in pets while maintaining efficacy through rigorous processing conditions.

Dr. Mark Franklin of Cargill underscored TruPet’s significance, noting the shift in consumer preferences toward functional nutrition for pets.

Pet parents now adopt a ‘good for me, good for my pet’ mindset. TruPet supports multiple health benefits and helps brands differentiate in a competitive market,” he said.
