dsm-firmenich, Format Solutions join forces to advance sustainable feed production

USA – dsm-firmenich’s Animal Nutrition & Health division has partnered with Format Solutions, a leading feed formulation and ERP software provider, to drive a new era of sustainability in animal feed production. 

The collaboration melds Format Solutions’ software expertise with dsm-firmenich’s life cycle assessment (LCA) platform, Sustell, empowering feed producers to measure, manage, and report their environmental footprint with unprecedented ease.

Food production is estimated to generate nearly one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions, intensifying the need for companies across the food and feed sectors to quantify and mitigate their environmental impacts. 

As businesses respond to increasing regulatory pressure, sustainability targets, and shifting consumer demands, the demand for credible, data-driven reporting has soared.

Through this partnership, dsm-firmenich’s Sustell platform will integrate seamlessly with Format Solutions’ software, creating a single system for feed producers to analyse the environmental footprint of their products. 

This approach allows producers to generate accurate, ISO-compliant emissions reports using data directly from their feed formulation processes.
