Nigeria Poultry Show 2024 set to address key challenges and opportunities in the poultry sector

NIGERIA – The upcoming Nigeria Poultry Show (NPS) 2024, scheduled for November 5th to 7th, is expected to draw industry professionals, investors, and government representatives to discuss current issues and innovations in Nigeria’s poultry sector.

This highly anticipated event will be held at the Green Legacy Resort within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Complex.  

Having grown significantly since its modest start in 2000, the NPS has expanded from an initial 18 exhibitors and 250 participants to attract over 4,780 attendees and 45 exhibitors, including international participants from countries such as Germany, Italy, India, the USA, and China. 

This growth reflects the broader expansion of Nigeria’s poultry sector, which has seen increased investment and government support aimed at reaching international competitiveness.

Focus on sustainable practices and industry development

Nigeria’s poultry sector has been identified as a key area for economic growth, with government initiatives aimed at bolstering production and achieving higher standards. 

The event will highlight the importance of sustainable practices, with discussions centering on challenges like high feed costs, regulatory hurdles, and market volatility. 

Key stakeholders, including government authorities and industry leaders, are expected to weigh in on policies and initiatives that could shape the future of poultry farming in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Poultry Show will provide a platform for various stakeholders within the poultry value chain to exchange insights and discuss opportunities for growth. 

Panel sessions and presentations will cover a range of topics, from market trends and investment opportunities to sustainable farming methods and advancements in poultry technology. 

Attendees, including both local and international exhibitors, will have the chance to explore new tools, technologies, and best practices presented by exhibitors and sponsors.
