Loop Pet Food expands to Rwanda, partners Pride Farms for sustainable pet nutrition

RWANDA – Loop Pet Food, Kenya’s pioneer in insect-powered pet nutrition, has boldly expanded its footprint into Rwanda through a strategic partnership with Pride Farms. 

The brand’s innovative, eco-friendly pet food is now available both in-store and online via Pride Farms’ platform, offering Rwandan pet owners convenient access to sustainable, high-quality products.

Amid global concerns over sustainability—particularly within the pet food and animal feed industries—Loop Pet Food stands out for its use of insect-based ingredients, including black soldier fly larvae. 

This positions the company at the forefront of a rapidly growing trend toward alternative proteins, which are gaining popularity among environmentally conscious consumers.

The rising demand for insect-based foods reflects an increasing awareness of the environmental impact of traditional meat-based pet diets, which contribute to resource depletion and higher carbon emissions.
