EGYPT -dsm-firmenich, a global leader in feed additives, has inaugurated a new Animal Nutrition & Health manufacturing plant in Sadat City, Egypt.

Officially opened on 12 September 2024, the facility is designed to meet the increasing demand for premixes and innovative feed additives, catering to mid-range and large livestock farms as well as feed millers in Egypt, the Middle East, Southern Europe, and Africa.

The 10,000-square-meter plant integrates advanced technology from Bühler Technologies, featuring an integrated plant control system with barcoding for enhanced production efficiency.

With an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons, it adheres to the highest international standards for food safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.

The facility is strategically located and offers excellent logistical advantages, ensuring efficient delivery to domestic and international customers.

This new site strengthens dsm-firmenich’s global production network, marking the company’s 50th production facility worldwide.

By processing specialised animal nutrition products, including vitamins, minerals, and feed additives, the plant bolsters dsm-firmenich’s ability to supply reliable, top-quality products.

This new facility is expected to support local economic growth and help meet the rising demand for feed premixes in export markets.

This investment comes at an opportune time, when the Africa Feed Additives Market size is estimated at 1.78 billion US$ in 2024.

According to Mordor Intelligence, a reputable market research firm, it is expected to reach 2.15 billion US$ by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 3.92% during the forecast period (2024-2029).
