EGYPT – Trouw Nutrition Egypt recently hosted a highly anticipated seminar in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, where industry experts and stakeholders gathered to explore the latest innovations in animal nutrition.
The event served as a platform for Trouw Nutrition, Nutreco’s livestock feed division, to introduce cutting-edge products designed to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of livestock farming in Egypt.

At the seminar, Trouw Nutrition showcased IntelliBond, Trouw Nutrition’s third-generation hydroxy trace mineral, known for its superior bioavailability—54% for copper, 44% for manganese, and 55% for zinc.

The seminar aligned with Egypt’s broader strategic goals in the livestock sector. The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, under the leadership of Alaa Farouk, has recently introduced a comprehensive plan to revitalise the country’s livestock industry.
This strategy addresses critical challenges such as inadequate fodder, declining animal health, and the impacts of climate change.
The plan aims to boost production and ensure food security by improving livestock genetics, enhancing veterinary care, and upgrading facilities to international standards, in line with the National Sustainable Development Strategy “Egypt 2030.”

Trouw Nutrition, Selko to host premier dairy event
In parallel with these efforts in Egypt, Trouw Nutrition and Selko Feed Additives are gearing up to host the first DairyNutriVision event from September 10th to 12th at the NHOW Hotel in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
This premier global event will bring scientists, industry leaders, and dairy enthusiasts together to pioneer sustainable dairy production practices.
The event will feature keynote speeches from renowned experts such as Jean Baptiste Daniel (Trouw Nutrition R&D), Brian Lindsey (Dairy Sustainability Framework, USA), and Jan Dijkstra (Wageningen University, The Netherlands), among others.
Topics will include mineral nutrition, youngstock feeding, immune suppression, and the balance between food and sustainability, supported by an exhibition showcasing the latest research advancements in dairy cattle feed and nutrition.
